Ant Control

There are many of species of ants found in the Bay Area. Ants can be annoying chronic invaders of structures, causing contamination of food and creating an uncomfortable environment. Several species are common in homes, making proper identification the first step in a successful control program.
Argentine Ant
The Argentine Ant accounts for 95% of all the service requests we get for ant control. The Argentine Ant is the most successful species by far, filling every possible niche available, and frequently invading structures in search of food, water, and an appropriate climate. Famous for their “trails,” they use a pheromone (a sort of chemical message) to lead workers to food and water sources. Their large colonies have multiple queens, allowing for great biological potential and adaptability. Individual colonies co-operate rather than competing, adding to their success.
