Spider Control

Arachnophobia (fear of spiders) is a common problem for many people. No spider control service can guarantee that you will never see a spider in your home, but we can greatly reduce the numbers with good Integrated Pest Management practices. The Black Widow spider is the only truly poisonous spider in our area, but several other species can bite, and a few people allergic to their venom may have a variety of reactions. The infamous brown recluse or violin spider is not commonly found in the Bay Area, CA. However, people can commonly mistake a common house spider for the brown recluse because of their similar brown color and markings. Killroy's spider control services begin with reducing the spider population on the outside of your home, and is the most practical method of preventing high populations of spiders indoors.

Scorpions, while scary looking, are no more toxic than bees and wasps in our area. Their sting can be painful, but only dangerous if one is highly allergic. Usually found outdoors under rocks and logs, the scorpion is mostly active at night. Spraying is usually not necessary, except in rare cases. Desert campers should always shake out their boots each morning just in case a wandering scorpion is resting inside!
